According to the LA Times she is.
Here is what they have to say:
Meyer and her producing partner at company Fickle Fish have optioned the book’s rights and begun developing the film, with Meyer set to produce (but probably not write), according to a person familiar with the project who asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to speak about it publicly.
I have to admite, I am quite dubious. I liked Anna Dressed in Blood and if I am honest I can't say the same about Meyer. Twilight was not for me it lacked the substance Anna Dressed in Blood has and I am not sure I want her anywhere near it for fear it will turn into a massive romance and loose all its appeal.
Still I could be wrong, we will have to wait and see.
What do you think?

While I loved Anna Dressed In Blood I think having Stephanie Meyer develop the movie in any way is wrong, there has got to be a better choice out there.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I don't have anything against Stephanie Meyer (her work is not for me but she is nice) but I do not think her particular style matches Anna Dressed in Blood.
DeleteWhen I saw this, my first thought was no, this can't be happening! No, just no! D:
ReplyDeleteWell to be fair it was Stephenie's idea to include the 'twist' in Breaking Dawn II so it does seem like she has the chops to pull this off. I do hope that she doesn't focus on the romance too much, though!

I have not seen Breaking Dawn 2 so have no idea what you are refering to. My point has nothing to do with that issue. I just don't really like her style of story telling and don't think it matches ADIB, but hopefully it will turn out well : )
DeleteOhh.. For me, that doesn't sound like the good pick. I haven't read Anna yet, but from what I've heard, I'm not sure if it will match with Meyer.

Oh dear. I haven't read Anna yet, but I don't like the sound of Meyer getting near it because it doesn't sound like her style at all.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed she doesn't ruin it or she gets nowhere near it!
I didn't really enjoy this book, but I think it would better as a movie. As for S Meyer, I think as long as she doesn't write the screenplay it should be okay lol. I'm really curious to see how this will turn out. They'll need lots of good special affects.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read it, but it's definitely on my to-read list. Generally, the movies are never as good, but I doubt I would enjoy this one.
